Here are some ways that one can get traffic to his/her site:

1. Build backlinks - Building backlinks can be as easy as just adding the link to your site in the signature of the forum that you are most active at.

2. SEOing your site - SEO stands for Search Engine Optimazation, and the best way to do that is to do simple things like add meta tags and a meta description, make sure you have a H1 tag, etc.

3. Link exchange - Find someone that has a same type of site as yours, and exange links with them(as in you add their link to your site, and they add your link to their site.)

4. Dictionary submission - Submit your site to dictionaries all across the internet.

5. Submit your site to search engines - Let the search engines know your site is out there by submitting your site to them.
